It is that time of year again and the shops are filled with the joys of Christmas. I have always enjoyed Christmas and especially New Year. New Year seems to be a time when you can look back over the past twelve months and see what happened. If it was a good twelve months then that is great, if it wasn’t then you can see why and be happy that it has finished.
Whichever it is you then go into the new year with a new start. Usually I either hold or go to a big party on New Years Eve. This year it is going to be different though. Nobody seems to have planned anything. A few of my friends have decided that it is time to go away and have taken a short holiday like a New York city break while others are travelling all the way to Australia to get some heat for the New Year.
There will be no city breaks or sunning myself this New Year as I am in London. A few of us have decided that we are going to be civilised this year and go down the route of spending it in a restaurant. The problem now is how to choose the restaurant. We want somewhere fun but without having to £150 for a four course meal and a glass of champagne, which is the going rate in a number of places in London.
I have only just begun looking but any suggestions will be welcomed with appreciation.
